About The Charity
Founded by Tasleen Carstairs in 2008, Forward Facing was at first a Community Interest Company, and since 2011 exists as a registered charity.
Tasleen’s passion for improving lives of those in need ignited the hearts of everyone she met, inspiring many to join and support our organization. After she sadly passed away in 2014, her work continued thanks to the energy and commitment of John Philips, Candice Konig, and the team of dedicated specialists, activists, and friends.
Now, our mission is giving children and young people with disabilities, life-limiting illnesses, or a bereavement experience a chance to express their personalities and make precious memories through creative, fun, and uplifting activities.
The whole families can take a break from stresses and issues that come with looking after a poorly child – our activities include siblings and parents too. Forward Facing offers opportunities for mums, dads, brothers, and sisters to come together and take time for themselves regardless of their daily circumstances.
To date, Forward Facing is proud to have supported over 60 children and their families. And with your help, we will reach out to many more over the next years.
